How to Make a Custom Order

Here at the Royal Candle Maker, we are excited to offer you the option of designing your own custom candle, either here online or at a Renaissance Festival near you. This article will give you an idea of what the process of ordering your candle looks like.

Order Online

Ordering online is easy, but it does require some thought beforehand. Here are some things you should consider before you order.

1) Determine What Type of Candle You are Interested In, and learn about what parts you can customize.

Are you interested in a carved candle like one of these?

Once you know what each element of the candle is, please click this link to place your custom order via our Custom Order Form.

Are you interested in a scenery candle, like one of these?

If You Want to Order Wedding Candles:

First, please view our Wedding Sets blog post so you have an idea of what each element of the candle is. Then, you'll be able to make decisions regarding your custom candle. Once you know what each part of the candle is, please click this link to place your custom order via our Custom Order Form.

2) Purchase via the link in the order form

Once you know what type of candle you wish to order, please read the article associated with that type of candle so you will know what parts of the candle can be customized. Then, follow this link and scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Order Form associated with that type of candle. Once there, you will be able to place and pay for your order online. Please be aware that all candles have a set $35 shipping and handling fee. Since we can't guarantee that the shipping company will handle your candle with care, we go to great lengths to ensure your candle is packed safely so it will arrive in perfect condition.

Order In-Person

If you decide to visit us and buy a candle in-person at any of our Renaissance Festival locations, we want you to know what to expect. Make sure you visit our shop early in your day, because we can take your order in the morning and send it home with you when you leave. With no orders ahead of yours, it will take us up to 20 minutes to make your candle (feel free to stick around and watch the process!), but it takes about 1.5 hours for it to cool and dry. If there are orders ahead of yours, it could take up to an hour longer for us to make the candle. We have a very quick turnaround time for custom orders, but we do stop taking custom orders two hours before the festival closes, so be sure to get in early!

Damaged Orders Are Replaceable

Damaged orders can be remade, regardless of how they were damaged. However, you may need to pay a little extra, or surrender your damaged candle, at our carvers discretion. Please contact us using the information at the bottom of this page, or via our contact form, to discuss the details and requirements for your particular situation, and to determine if it's an order that should be remade in-person or if it can be done though mail/shipping.
